Piojo is a short film directed by award-winning filmmaker and UT Austin professor Miguel Alvarez, set in the near future and centered on a father confronting authorities who use emerging technology to take his son. Serving as Costume Designer, I led the visual development and execution of costumes for a large-scale student production, outfitting over 20 ensemble characters while managing pulls and builds from Troublemaker Studios’ stock. The project filmed on-site at Troublemaker Studios—the historic Spy Kids stage—over an intensive week-long shoot, requiring close collaboration across departments to maintain continuity and a cohesive world. This production highlighted my ability to design at scale, work efficiently on a professional studio lot, and support a predominantly UT Austin student crew in delivering a polished, ambitious film.
