The Evangelist is a student film produced at The University of Texas at Austin, set against a turbulent political climate and centered on the relationship between the body, belief, and ideology. As the Costume Designer, I developed character-driven costumes that visually reflected the film’s exploration of extreme belief systems and the vulnerability of the human body as an external expression of deeply rooted ideas. My work involved researching political and ideological visual language, designing and sourcing costumes, and ensuring visual continuity throughout production. In addition to costume design, I provided on-set support in production design, assisting with visual cohesion, quick changes, and problem-solving to maintain the film’s aesthetic and narrative clarity during shooting.
